BMW GM3 Wiring Description for E39 5-series
These are taken from the E39 wiring diagram. I have noticed
many differences between the GM3 used in the E38, E39 and E53 (X5) as well
as between the different years.

I offer a repair service for GM3 modules that have the common problem of no door locks (front or rear) from the key fob or central locking button and no interior lights when a door is open.---> GM3 Repair Service This problem is NOT the relays or the BTS430K2 so you can stop thinking about replacing them in hopes that it will fix the problem. Relays RLY3, 4 and 5 do control the door locks, but, they only control the rear doors. The front door are controlled by PM modules located in the doors. Relays RLY1 and RLY2 control the rear windows. Again, the front windows are controlled by PM modules located in the doors.

On the E38 7-series the fuses are located in the e-box under the hood on the left hand drive cars and in the glove box on the right hand drive cars.
