The GM5 module Interior Lights and Windshield Washer
The GM5 module controls other things in addition to the door locks and windows. Two of these other functions are the Interior Lights and the Windshield washer pump. These two functions are not controller relays internal to the GM5, but, rather by a solid state driver IC by Infineon, BTS734L1. This chip is a 2 channel high side driver with 4.8 Amp current capability. One channel is for the Interior lights and the other for the Windshiled washer pump.
The windshield washer pump is connected to the GM5 on connector X332 pin 2. The signal comes from the IC, BTS734L1, pins 17 & 18.
The interior lights are connected to the GM5 on connector X332 pin 3. The signal comes from the IC, BTS734L1, pins 13 & 14.
