Symptom: The odometer jumps to a lower value.
this fault can occur in yhe event of an undervoltage, e.g. if the battery is discharged.
Cause: Software error in the instrument cluster with a software version less than 20.0
All E46 from start of production up to May 2000.
Solution: Replace cluster and program to car. Mileage will be taken from LSZ.

Fuel level sensor left tank: empty about 70 Ohms, full about 310 Ohms

Fuel level sensor right tank: empty about 70 Ohms, full about 395 Ohms

Ambient temperature sensor is nominally 4.7K at 77F (25C). At 59F (15C) it's 7.33K and at 95F (35C) it's 3.07K.
